ON ARRIVAL
Before landing in Australia, you will be required to fill in an Immigration form,
as well as a Customs and Agriculture Declaration forms.
VISA INFORMATION
A visa is required if you want to enter Australia, unless you are the holder of
an Australian or New Zealand passport.
If you enter Australia on a tourist visa, you cannot work.
A working holiday visa allows you to stay in Australia for a maximum of 12 months
during which time you may only work for up to three months.
Application forms for visas can be obtained from Australian Embassies, High
Commissions and Consulates.
DEPARTURE TAX
A departure tax of $33.40 applies to everyone over 12 yrs when you leave Australia.
This tax is usually included in a return ticket.
DUTY FREE
Over 18: A$400 worth of goods (not including alcohol or tobacco)
Under 18: A$200 worth of goods (not including alcohol or tobacco)
For travellers over 18 yrs:
1.125 litres of alcohol
250 cigarettes or 250 grams of cigars or tobacco products
